The Hostel is located in the heart of Koutammakou, the only site of Togo inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, due to its amazing landscapes. Robert, the owner, offers his guests the unique opportunity to stay in the famous “tatas tamberma”, traditional houses from Burkina Faso. The inhabitants of Koutammakou are still deeply rooted in their traditions, including by venerating the cult of ancestors and living in symbiosis with their natural surroundings, the authenticity of the stay is ensured.
The main activities offered by the Hostel are the visit of the site of Koutammakou and various walks in the beautiful mountains surrounding accommodation, on the border of Togo and Benin. Tiyita Hostel offers several opportunities to share and exchange with the villagers, including through pottery and cooking, to experience a typical and authentic stay.
The Hostel also partly reinvested its meager profits at the Warengo village school, where it is located, in order to improve the quality of life of children. Its contribution to environmental protection is through raising awareness among villagers on various topics.
The accommodation package includes breakfast for 2 guests.
