Eco Hotel La Sirena
The village of Palomino is a former fishing village on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. Populated by African descendants and inside the country, there are a total of 4 main ethnic groups inhabiting the area of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The Eco Hotel La Sirena is located directly on the beach and owners wish to share this place with travelers, the most environmentally friendly way possible.
Several activities are offered like yoga, hiking and good massages, in addition to the ability to take private salsa lessons. Relaxing on the beach is obviously still popular with travelers! The vegetarian restaurant offers vegan and gluten-free options, while putting emphasis on local and organic ingredients.
La Sirena has a comprehensive program to reduce the environmental impact, through the waste management, the use of local and sustainable materials and the lack of air conditioning. La Sirena is the first hotel in the Colombian Caribbean coast that operates exclusively with renewable energy. They also have a protected forest of 50 hectares which is used among other things to their partnership with the NGO Slow Food to promote food sovereignty.
The hosting package includes breakfast for 2 persons.
