Camp Sabou
Going West to the touristic provinces of Benin, only 80km form the capital Ouagadougou, you will find a friendly camp on the shores of the Pond of Sacred Crocodiles. This shady camp organised around traditional round huts encourages rest and relaxation.
History says that an inanimate traveler would have been saved by a crocodile. Since then, the Pond of Sacred Crocodiles has become famous for its crocodiles usually dangerous, but who become harmless in that sacred pond.
The management of the camp has been entrusted by the village to the development association Wend Kuni helping disabled children in the region, while offering local development tools. Wend Kuni can thereby finance a part of its actions in this region.
