Meet Us
Located in the Blanchette House, in a peaceful setting near Cap-Rouge marina, the Village Monde team will be happy to meet with you to discuss its actions and any potential collaboration, whether in its offices, during a walk along the river or over a hot drink at the Children First Café / Thrift Shop on the ground floor of the building.
A House Full of History
Dating back to 1850, the Maison Blanchette is part of the heritage of Cap-Rouge, the historic district where Jacques Cartier and his companions are said to have wintered during the first attempts at French colonization on the continent. Over the years, the house served as a home for the Blanchette and Veilleux families, then as an inn, general store and post office. The building, destroyed by fire and rebuilt in the same style as the original house, is now the workplace of the Village Monde team.
