Benin, Togo and Burkina Faso Development Project
As part of our development projects, we are heading for West Africa, which is currently very little covered by tourist circuits.
A project to develop a community ecotourism network connected in the southern part of the country is currently under way in collaboration with our local partner Eco-Benin to promote ecotourism projects. The NGO established in 1999 is aiming for a more responsible and fair human development.
Project Objectives:
- Improving the living conditions of rural communities in Southern Benin;
- Contribution to the diversification of livelihoods through new ways of using the mangrove for ecotourism development purposes;
- Improving the capacity of local population, especially women and youth, in the areas of sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship and communications;
- Improvement of tourist infrastructure;
- Reduction of the digital divide;
- Improving the incomes of women and young people.
We are also working to extend our objectives to the rest of the country, and then to Togo and Burkina Faso so as to create a coherent network that will have greater visibility on the international market and will ensure a better sustainability of the tourism activity.
